Although I’ve loved to draw since I could hold a crayon, I had no art instruction until I majored in Studio Art at Principia College. Following college I immediately began exhibiting my watercolor paintings in galleries and exhibitions in the Northwest In fact I became a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society before I was 25. For a while, life got in the way and there were only brief snippets of time to draw and paint. Then one day I realized I could make some choices. I started drawing and painting, eventually exhibiting and teaching art again. Hallelujah! So much bliss, I had to share. To see more of my work, I invite you to visit my website, paulaensignart.com.

A note from Paula’s daughters
Dear friends,
We are sad to share the news that Paula Ensign passed away in late 2019. Her passion and her exceptional talent will forever be memorialized through the legacy she left in her incredible work. She loved to teach, and this blog truly captured her joy, enthusiasm, and incredible way of helping others experience that same passion. We hope you continue to celebrate your own artistic inspiration through this blog—she loved all the great feedback and would be thrilled to know that it continues even after her passing.
Please use the contact form if you’d like to find out more about her work that is still available.
